MgMaStudio/architecture is a compound, proximate characters binding personality to place, underpinned by process. Directors and chartered architects Mathew Giles and Matthew Ashton supply the initials, highlighting the commonality of the ‘M’. Studio is the process and environment; the intent to produce, to build, together with the definition of our premises (see previous post. The ‘/’ device signifies the collaborative, open ended nature of the creative process; insert the name here of a client, a collaborator or team member. Under everything is architecture. The studio works at a variety of scales and encompasses non-traditional modes of practice; some graphic contribution, some consultancy, for example. The perspective, the training and the process are architectural, hence architecture underpins the logotype.
